echo°o°o
collective worldbuilding with Magdalena Emmerig
SUN 3.11, 16.30H - 19H ACUD Galerie
Free participation, no registration needed
Living in a world of water, crying would not be an act of shame, tears would not be a stress response. Wet-faced, we would be connected through the endocrinological exchange embodied by our tears. Together we will invent a practice and a language for Sicktopia that allows us to hold agency and experience pleasure in being cared for as well as in caring.
The worldbuilding takes place in English spoken language. You might want to bring a blanket or a cushion to get a bit cozy in the space. We will provide some tea and snacks. No previous experience is required, you are being guided through it like in a game or a workshop. If you have any questions beforehand or need some kind of assistance to access the event, feel free to reach out.
echo°o°o is a series of collective worldbuilding events. Through guided role-playing we are envisioning a future and nurturing its mutability. Grounded in queer-feminist theory, the role-plays center around transitioning bodies, collapsing worlds and reproductive labour while the sceneries of the Echoing Futures exhibitions become amplifiers to our imaginations.
New to roleplaying? Don’t worry, you’ll be guided through every step.
The exhibition series Echoing Futures - On Practices of Radical Imagination is supported by the multi-sector funding programme of the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion.
