ABOUT
"Szenerie IV – Geometrische Begierden"
(“Scenery IV – Geometric Obsessions”) will take place on Saturday, 11-9-19 from 9 pm at ACUD GALERIE (Berlin) with contributions from Knut Klaßen, Bernhard Schreiner, Charlotte Simon and Markus Zimmermann. This night-as-image has been created by Stephan Engelke and Sven Fritz as a two-parter.In the first part, entitled Corpus, some of the diverse and ambiguous aspects of geometry and obsessions directed at it will be embodied in complex formations on an installative, performative and sonic level.
The Appendix, the second part, re-interprets the preceding elements by slightly shifting this configuration towards the nightclub – not unlike the coda at the end of a musical theme. It invites the audience to the hedonistic abandonment of both critical distance and unconscious affirmation to enter the realm of the ritual: the joy of repetition.

"Szenerie IV – Geometrische Begierden", wird sich am Samstag, 9.11.2019 ab 21 Uhr in der ACUD GALERIE (Berlin) unter Mitwirkung von Knut Klaßen, Seb Koberstädt, Bernhard Schreiner, Charlotte Simon und Markus Zimmermann ereignen.
Diese Nacht-als-Bild haben Stephan Engelke und Sven Fritz als zweiteilige konzipiert. Im ersten Teil, dem Corpus, werden manche der vielfältigen und durchaus ambivalenten Aspekte der Geometrie und der Begierden, die sich auf sie richten, in einer komplexen Formation installativer, performativer und klanglicher Elemente verkörpert.
Der Appendix, der zweite Teil, reinterpretiert mit einigen Verschiebungen der Konfiguration ins Clubhafte das Vorangegangene (wie die Coda den Themenabschnitt) und verleitet zur hedonistischen Auflösung kritischer Distanz und (zwanghaft) bewußtloser Affirmation ins Rituelle: the joy of repetition.
