Saiyah - Yoko Seyama
„Wenn ich mich anders ausdrücken könnte, bräuchte ich kein Licht.“
Yoko Seyama nutzt in ihrer Installation „Saiyah“ das Prinzip der additiven Farbmischung für eine bewegte Lichtszenographie. Vier motorgesteuerte Fenster aus dichroitischem Glas reflektieren das Licht eines Scheinwerfers zueinander und in den Raum hinein. Durch diese motorisierte Choreographie entstehen zahllose Überlagerungen und Muster von Spektralfarben.
Die graduellen Verschiebungen laufen in einem programmierten Vorgang ab, der die Brechungen und Reflektionen des Lichts in den Raum projizert und ihn zur Spielfläche polymorpher Visualisierungen macht. Diese Umsetzung eröffnet ein Spannungsfeld zwischen technischen Bewegungsabläufen und Assoziationen zu sakralen Räumen und Ritualen.

Circular Shift - Wolfgang Bittner
In der audiovisuellen Installation Circular Shift dienen geometrische Grundelemente und Prinzipien als Ausgangspunkt für die Erforschung eines neuen Raumgefüges. Durch Fragmentierung, Zerlegung und Neuanordnung wird die zweidimensionale Projektion in ein dreidimensionales Objekt überführt. Die durch Drehung und räumlichen Versatz entstehenden Interferenzen der Elemente bilden ein Lichtobjekt, in dem sich die Trennung zwischen medialem und realem Raum auflöst.

For her installation „Saiyah“ Yoko Seyama works with the principle of additive color mixing for of a kinetic light scenography. Four motorized windows made of dichroic glass reflect the light of one spotlight to each other and into the installation space. The motorized choreography creates countless layers and patterns of colours of the spectrum.
The graduate shiftings proceed in a programmed process, that disperses the diffractions and reflections within the setting and turns the space into a stage of polymorph visualizations. This creates a specific tension between the automated choreography and associations of sacral spaces and rituals.

Circular Shift - Wolfgang Bittner
In the installation Circular Shift, Wolfgang Bittner continues his experiments in expanding 2D projection into spatial arrangements. By means of fragmentation, dissection and layering, the projected image is transformed into threedimensional structures. Composing both physical structure as well as projected imagery from fundamental geometric elements, their interplay creates a new aesthetic entity. Temporal events are transformed into spatial stimuli and the interferences of geometric patterns generate rhythmic sequences in space.
