CP meets Omonblanks:
One of the first COLLECTIVE PRACTICES activities was originally planned together with Omonblanks, archivist and creative director of TAC Org , on documenting conversations of black and African lived experiences as a collective practice. In this interview, Omonblanks is speaking from his home in Accra/Ghana, and talks about narratives as a collective practice, about reducing stereotypes and taking back the narrative of what it means to be black and African, by adding more and more diverse stories, told by black and African people of various backgrounds. We talk also about adapting his practice to the current Covid-19 situation and his online conversation series (https://www.instagram.com/omonblanks/) of personal stories of friends and collaborators about how they are navigating the current moment – that feel like meeting new friends over dinner. And end on how we can keep going and use the current moment as a creative collective.
