Filmmaking Workshop with Mariusz Grzegorzek

This year’s workshop session (4 days, April 21–24, 2016), which will take place during the annual film festival filmPOLSKA, will be led by professor and rector of the renowned Łódź Film School Mariusz Grzegorzek. The target group is young people aged between 18 and 30, curious, creative and open-minded; it is also open for participants who have just begun their adventure in the field of filmmaking.

The workshop will be a mix of an intensive examination of selected movies, an introduction to visual creation and a practice-oriented part on how to produce a short-film (brainstorming, implementation, post-production, evaluation).
Participation will require concentration, a high degree of activity and passion to improvise. The workshop is rather a vivid session than a seminar in a conservative sense; it is an intense discussion on the formulation of meanings and emotions in cinema. According to the motto: to travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive or as the Germans say: Der Weg ist das Ziel.
