Mit dem Duo Hacklander / Hatam und Giovanni Civitenga sorgen wir im ACUD Club dafür, dass zum Bergfest des Monats der zeitgenössischen Musik nicht nur gehört, sondern auch getanzt werden kann. // Halfway through the Month of Contemporary Music, we feature the duo Hacklander / Hatam and Giovanni Civitenga, ensuring that you can dance as well as listen.

Für die Party des Monats der zeitgenössischen Musik hat das ACUD ein spannendes Programm zusammengestellt, bei dem nicht nur gehört, sondern auch getanzt werden kann: Giovanni Civitenga ist der Kopf hinter dem Berliner Label S K Y A P N E A und der gleichnamigen Radiosendung auf NTS, in der er regelmäßig Gäste einlädt und mit ihnen Visionen eines eindringlichen Sounds verbreitet.
Weiter geht es mit Hacklander Hatam, dem Drum- und Elektronik-Duo von Colin Hacklander und Farahnaz Hatam. Ihr Interesse gilt rhythmischer Stabilität und ihre Abwesenheit, der Tiefe radikaler Material-Heteronomie im zeitgenössischen Kapitalismus und der Natur unserer Konditionierung. Sie verstehen Ton als plastisches Material und Klang als Medium für Ideen: digitale Klangsynthese mit SuperCollider.
Kouhei Matsunaga ist nicht nur Musiker, sondern auch Illustrator, der unter verschiedenen Künstlernamen (NHK, NHKyx, Internet Magic, Koyxen) Platten auf Labels wie Skam Records, Wordsound, Raster Noton, PAN, L.I.E.S. DFA und Mille Plateaux veröffentlichte.
Abgelöst werden sie am späteren am Abend von Junis, der Teil des Berliner Kollektivs ∑(Summe) ist. Das lose Gemeinschaftsprojekt Berliner Produzenten strebt mit Künstlergesprächen, Ausstellungen und Platten seit 2013 im Berliner Untergrund nach einem neuen „wir“ und entwirft eine Antwort auf die ansteigende Individualisierung des Neoliberalismus.

To mark the halfway point of the Month of Contemporary Music, ACUD has prepared an exciting evening where one can not only listen to music but also dance to it. Music for the mind and the body. Giovanni Civitenga is founder of the Berlin label S K Y A P N E A and has a radio program on NTS which goes by the same name, inviting guests and exploring their idea of immersive sound.
Hacklander Hatam is the hard hitting drum and electronics duo from Colin Hacklander and Frahnaz Hatam. Interested in transparency, liberation, rhythmic stability & its absence, the depth of radical material heteronomy in contemporary capitalism & the nature of our mobilised conditioning; sound as sculptural material; sound as a medium in which ideas are communicated; digital sound synthesis with SuperCollider; drums, percussion & gongs.
Born in Osaka, Kouhei Matsunaga is a musician and an illustrator. Under many different aliases (NHK, NHKyx, Internet Magic, Koyxen) he has released numerous albums on labels such as Skam Records, Wordsound, Raster Noton, PAN, L.I.E.S., an upcoming record on DFA and his first ever album "Upside Down" on Mille Plateaux in 1998.
They will then make way for Junis, who will take control of the decks. He is a member of Berlin's ∑(Summe) collective - an elusive collaborative project of Berlin-based producers. Conceptualised around the idea of a new “we” against the ongoing individualisation of neoliberalism, the group have been active giving talks, curating exhibitions and releasing records in the Berlin underground since 2013.
