Following his arrival in France in 2014, Osloob has worked with many musicians such as Amazigh Kateb, Médéric Collignon or Hubert Dupont and teams up with the French Syrian flute player Naïssam Jalal to create a new Arab Hip Hop esthetic. This new project, « Al Akhareen » (The Others), presents itself as a duo, a trio (alongside Dj Junkaz Lou), or a sextet (live band).

ETHNIQUE PUNCH (TR)
... is an independent producer and MC from Anatolia. Eastern samples, dirty drums, synths and fragmented dialogs are his musical trademarks. Combined with metaphorical lyrics, his deep voice flows over the beat like an eloquent Turkish mantra.

His influences reach from classical 90's west coast hip-hop to elaborated trip-hop sounds, while some tracks even drift towards dub, dnb or dubstep. Additionally, many of his tracks are layered with samples of traditional Anatolian instruments, crossing aesthetic and geographic boundaries. As for his lyrics, hip-hop means catharsis and resistance to the Ethnic Punch.

Whether from a personal or broader perspective, he tackles issues like racial segregation, homophobia, gender inequality, destructive exploitation of the environment, or the hypocritical foundations of human civilisation. If that sounds like a tough pill to swallow, he makes it go down easy.

During past years, he has toured as an MC & DJ across Anatolia, the Levant, and Central and Eastern Europe, and now to ever broader audiences around the globe. He has released three instrumental and three rap albums. His 6th independent album 'Çeyrek Asrı Buçuk Geçe' was recently released and his 7th production 'Vinyet' - the first piece of his upcoming 'Tabula Rasa trilogy' - is to be released on vinyl through the Vienna based label 'Well Gedacht' in fall 2016. His collaborations with international artists include Stormtrap aka Asifeh (PS), Mesak (FI), Akrylonumerik (FR), Wermonster (FR), Scarf Face (DE), and X.A. Cute (DE) ; as well as with many locals like Grup Ses Beats, El MahdyJr. , Tabanvay, Levni, Da Poet, Vinyl Obscura, Allame, Joker, Ağaçkakan & more.
