ABOUT THE ARTISTS
 
STORMTRAP AKA ASIFEH (Ramallah,Palestine) is a beatmaker/rapper originating from Palestine. He grew up between Ramallah and Vienna. He has always been interested in technology and music since his days of childhood. Stormtrap’s musical journey began around the age of 16, where he learned to play the electric guitar and started combining his live recordings with electronic sounds on the computer. The Second Intifada was a turning point for Stormtrap, where he began to take his hobby seriously and started writing political songs influenced by the difficult reality one was (and still is) living. // Soundcloud

In a region where hip hop is still largely unchartered territory, CHYNO (Syria/Lebanon) has broken new ground on all fronts. The Syrian-Filipino has lived all over the world and his upcoming debut solo album, “Making Music to Feel at Home,” deals with his consequent feelings of disenfranchisement and marginalization through a hip hop perspective.
