Time flies, and it feels like yesterday that the Berlin-based interview magazine mono.kultur saw the light of day, riding the first wave of the ongoing self-publishing boom. Ten years later and none the wiser, it is time to celebrate a decade of in-depth conversations with the likes of Tilda Swinton, Ai Weiwei, Dries van Noten or Brian Eno, all presented in mono.kultur's uncompromising splendour of featuring only one artist and conversation per issue.
Since looking back is not their style, mono.kultur focus on the here and now instead, celebrating their anniversary with the next generation. Food for mind comes in form of a round-table discussion with young and upcoming editorial projects to discuss how self-publishing has changed over the past ten years, including Berlin Quarterly, Cee Cee, Flaneur and Uncube. Whereas the body is served at our anniversary party with fine music courtesy of a new generation of Djs, featuring Romy Pope, Grayson Revoir and Stephanie Comilang.
