The Hum: Harmonious Thelonious + Willis Anne

THE HUM is an exploratory club night traveling into different temporalities, phenomena and politics of sound, dance, and club culture. A work in progress. After a heartening journey to the conditional realm of 1980s-based four to the floor modifications, interpretations and synthetic beyonds with June and Phuong Dan and the bleeby, breaky Nr. 73 with KilleKill's Fist Van Odor, we are now proceeding to a rather linear and metallic quality of exploratory music and dance.
 
Passionate by the machines and their warm and intense sound, Willis Anne quickly gave birth to LAN (Live Act Night). Not just a purveyor of dusty club music, LAN is a conceptual project also operating within the realms of event and video. Enlisting the services of friends and peers to work on the various facets, we’ve seen the likes of THE HUM: is an exploratory club night traveling into different temporalities, phenomena and politics of sound, dance, and club culture. Harmonious Thelonious: best known for his work as Antonelli Electr., established his new identity for a view on electronic music that explores the possibilities of rhythm and sound way beyond your average four-to-the-floor-fooling-around. Inspired by house and techno just as vibes from polyrhythmic North African music as Gnawa and Joujouka, combining them with reduced North American techno beats and developing transparent yet dense tracks that easily defy classification.
