Special No. 1 DJ Team is made up of Danish-Nigerian film maker and African Academy Award winner “King Sunny” Jide and the infamous bandleader-curator-raconteur and “Analog Africa” researcher and representative, Jimmy Trash. Together they mix a love of heavy West African funk and psych vinyls, Carribean Boogaloo and Calypso, 90’s South African Kwaito and Tsonga, Pan-Latino-Afro-Arabian jams and modern hip hop and booty shakers from Latin America and East Africa.
