BENGE
DO 21.05, 17H ACUD CLUB
Ticketlink: https://pretix.eu/BENGE/benge/
The second edition of BENGE at ACUD celebrates community, heritage, and powerful rhythms. We begin with the workshop by Braided Voices (17:00–20:00), which starts with an exploration of the historical and cultural roots of Afro hair braiding before moving into a practical session to learn the craft ourselves.
The stage will then be opened by Wysteria, bringing a raw and atmospheric mix of Post-Punk and Indie-Rock to the stage.
Afterwards PLANKTON is delivering queer-feminist and anti-racist German rap that is as sharp as it is empowering.
For the final hours, Ami Wokloni b2b Nzambisa will heat up the floor with a vibrant set inspired by the African continent and the Caribbean—blending Afro-Cuban sounds with the energy of Chicago House and much more.
As always, BENGE is a space by and for FLINTA* people, focusing on connection and discovery in a consciously safer setting. Entry is on a donation basis, welcoming everyone to join the movement regardless of their financial means.
