In the words of Fasia Jansen, “Verbrannte Erde: Voicing Resistance, Uprisings, (Dis-)Positioning Cultures” retraces modes of resistance by discussing economic labor, recognition, reconcilement, and cultural contributions in repositioning Germany’s cultural identity and lesser-known historical narratives. Marlize Andre, Mmakgosi Kgabi and Moro Yapha move us through the waves of migrant movements that significantly traced and re-questioned the country’s economic agenda.
