In 2021 two friends with the same Kosovar German background came together in Berlin to create a platform for interdiasporic collaborations in music and arts. We had an urge to organize parties where we could give Kosovar artists a stage in Berlin whilst visa restrictions still limited the freedom of movement of the Kosovar people.
After two years of music events in Berlin and Prishtina we count a broad network of Kosovar Albanian artists and diasporic friends around Europe. That’s why we aim for the next level and give birth to a festival which celebrates the freedom of our culture of heritage, the creativity of diaspora and 2nd and 3rd generation of immigrants as such. “How long are you staying?” is one of the most common questions we get asked when we children of diaspora go back and it’s the question our parents got asked when leaving home.
