We Who Move The World Forward is a discursive programme bringing to light unacknowledged perspectives and critical intersectional practices of resistance inside Germany’s migrant movements centered on BiPOC and queer communities. The project is inspired by the experiences of four radical Black feminist figures Fasia Jansen, Semra Ertan, May Ayim and Sista Mimi to identify lesser known stories within migrant movements: GastArbeiter, Vertragsarbeiter and the Berlin Refugee Movement working towards changes inside Germany’s asylum laws, for migrant rights and international reparations.
We Who Move The World Forward amplifies the voices of migrant workers, feminist activists, trauma survivors and displaced people to activate resources for protection, solidarity and support in dealing with integration, displacement and mental health.
The programme will be presented in 6 chapters expanding on the politics of identity and healthcare, policies of Heimat-isation, ancestral healing, education, restitution, culture
and law based on the contributions of Black feminist figures introduced in the research Project.
The project is presented as a discursive programme with an exhibition, workshops, radio and live performances organized by ACUD MACHT NEU in partnership with Arts Of The Working Class, Refuge Worldwide Radio and Reboot FM centering on minority populations affected by displacement and refugee experiences to empower and develop models of safe, accessible and trauma-informed resources.
