xcuse:u collective presents: Workshops, PerfoRmances, Clubnight
Dancefloors are political. A scene that wants to create utopias and celebrates freedoms must not lose sight of the diversity of people and their needs. By utopia, we mean spaces that have emerged in the wake of the rise of underground, rave and club culture: Spaces that were meant to be built outside of the racist, sexist, queer-hostile, and capitalist system in order to create political spaces of protection and development for marginalized people. The struggle for these spaces constitutes the heart and soul of club culture.
The event series "Intersection Sounds" from the DJ collective xcuse:u aims to make queerfeminist perspectives in the club scene more visible, draw attention to the political aspects of the club culture and support flinta* artists of various art forms.
