Lady Liberty Library presents ‘Soft Construction’ (2021) by Valentina Karga and Mascha Fehse in the context of the library as a building site and urban open space.
Originally commissioned as a soft construction site and reading corner for 'gegenarchive: wer bleibt wo’—an exhibition for Prater Galerie organised by Sonja Hornung with the curatorial advice of Len Joreis. The collective work points to a careful and vulnerable handling of the city. An “inverted” construction site that replaces hard elements with soft, waste with care, reckless abstraction with vulnerability.

Run by Nina Prader. who is an artist, writer, curator and independent publisher. Born in Washington D.C., she studied at the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston in affiliation with Tufts University and at the Slade in London in affiliation with UCL. She received her MA in Critical Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria. She has exhibited and written internationally in Boston, NY, Vienna, Salzburg, Berlin, and London.
