MORE ABOUT UNITED WE STREAM
The Berlin Club Culture is facing its biggest challenge in history. On Friday, the 13th of March, the whole of Berlin’s night life was officially shut down to prevent the spread of Corona Virus. Therefore, about 9000 employees, as well as tens of thousands of artists are without work and wages and the many places that give Berlin part of its identity are in jeopardy.
As a reaction to closing all Berlin Clubs and the rest of the world being in quarantine, Berlin declares its support and solidarity by getting the biggest digital club to your home.In addition to streaming live DJ sets, live music and live performances, United We Stream will be a platform for discussion sessions, presentations and movies addressing various themes relating to our club culture.
The public’s support so that Berlin’s club scene can survive these difficult times. By contributing just 10, 20 or 30 euros per month, you can become a sponsor and receive a virtual Club Ticket. In addition to this, you can donate to clubs and event organizers directly or buy solidarity merchandise.
All income from the stream will go directly to a relief fund which will support clubs and event organizers in need. For the distribution of these funds, the Clubcommission Berlin e.V. has developed a catalog of criteria and has appointed an independent jury.
United We Stream will offer streams from different clubs several days a week. During these streams, supporters can donate a variable amount to Berlin clubs via a fundraising platform:
MORE ABOUT AMPLIFY BERLIN
Amplify Berlin is a creative development program at ACUD Kunsthaus which offers Berlin-based emerging musicians the chance to be mentored in composition, production and live performance by established musicians. During each one-month residency, two emerging artists receive feedback and advice from their mentor, work in a music studio, develop their live set in the ACUD Club’s concert space, as well as produce an online radio show. Each residency culminates in a live set at a showcase event on a lineup alongside the mentor. The showcases are currently postponed due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.
Amplify Berlin is co-financed by the Europäischer Fonds für regionale Entwicklung (EFRE) and Musicboard Berlin.
