Acud Macht Neu presents
odd wednesday: Margareth Kammerer, duo Voutchkova-Yip
new series exploring music any genre, not or quietly amplified every odd wednesday
Margareth Kammerer - guitar, voice
With Margareth Kammerer the form of the song is expressed through early blues, folk, sound research, experimental voice, and the “Lied”. Her minimal approach allows the texts and melodies to unfold without adhering to the structure often imposed or implied.
Biliana Voutchkova - violin
Viola Yip - light bulbs, electronics
Biliana and Viola will be creating a set for the interplay between movements, sounds and lights. Through these elements, they are interested in conceptualizing the inherent physicality, energy and affect as music, bringing them together as the core of their musical act.
Biliana Voutchkova is a thoroughly engaged violinist. Her constant research as a creative artist spans the widest possible range of sound and movement and extends her sonic, technical and physical capacities evolving into the development of a highly individual artistic language.
Viola Yip, a native of Hong Kong, is a Brooklyn-based composer and performer, who always pushes the boundaries in her imaginary sound world.
