“Quente Quente, is Portuguese for "hot hot." The mobile sound system that adorns our flyer says unmistakably that this night about tropical bass music from the Portuguese-speaking world. Baile Funk, Pagode and Brega Funk from Brazil, Kuduro and Afro House from Angola, plus the international adaptations of the Luso bass sound, are the vibe of "Quente Quente", a new bi-monthly party series at Acud Macht Neu. The hosts are Daniel Haaksman (Man Recordings) and J Do Rio (Lava Som).

For the first edition of Quente Quente the makers have invited DJ Ckrono from Milan. Ckrono is DJ, producer and co-organizer of Balera Favela, the most important monthly event series for Tropical Bass in Milan. Earlier this year he released the much acclaimed "Vroom Vrau" single with MC Bin Laden and Mace on Mad Decent. For his first appearance in Berlin Ckrono arrives with MC Ninjinho from Florence. Together they will release their debut single "Caramela" on Man Recordings on 15th of November., probably the first Italian-language Baile Funk tune ever released.
"Quente Quente" in its first edition is not only a debut event but also a record release party. Bring towels, this evening will be extra quente!

Das mobile Sound System, das unseren Flyer ziert, sagt unmissverständlich: Hier geht es um Bass-Musik aus tropischen Gefilden, insbesondere aus dem portugiesischsprachigen Raum. Für die erste Ausgabe von “Quente Quente” haben die Macher DJ Ckrono aus Mailand eingeladen. Ckrono ist DJ, Producer und Co-Veranstalter von Balera Favela, der wichtigsten monatlichen Event-Reihe für Tropical Bass in Mailand. Anfang des Jahres hat er mit MC Bin Laden und Mace auf Mad Decent die vielbeachtete “Vroom Vrau”-Single releast. Für seinen ersten Auftritt in Berlin reist Ckrono mit MC Ninjinho aus Florenz an, die beiden releasen am 15.11. auf Man Recordings ihre Debüt-Single “Caramela”, die vermutlich erste italienischsprachige Baile Funk-Tune überhaupt.
“Quente Quente” in seiner ersten Ausgabe ist also nicht nur Debüt-Event sondern auch Record-Release-Party. Handtücher mitbringen, dieser Abend wird extra quente!
