Lisbon ZDB Galeria Zé dos Bois takes over ACUD for a night to express cross-European friendship and collaboration.
In times when nationalism is regaining momentum, a Europe wide project brings club communities from the EU to celebrate together and co-curate the programme in a Berlin partner club. Saturday, 9 November 2019, the day of the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, marks a European exchange with organisers/collectives/clubs of the 27 member states of the EU, setting an example for a peaceful Europe without borders and against nationalism!

ABOUT
Dj Nigga Fox
Angolan born and Lisbon based Dj Nigga Fox is one of the main characters behind Principe Discos. He has already played in all sorts of the greater Lisbon clubs, while discreetly refining his own productions. He is a desconstruction prophet of the 4/4 normative. His first release in 2013 was called 'My Style', clearly setting him as a flagship of the style behind Principe. He’s taken all sorts of lessons from local producers, as well as from the tracks coming in from Luanda, and has created his own unnameable hybrid, informed by kuduro, afro-house, Angolan deep, tarraxinha, batida, and created some of the dopest, freshest music we’ve heard in years.Having his last EP released by Warp Records it is only fair to say that he has made no mistakes.
Odete
Odete’s multidisciplinary works combine music, text, performance and visual art. Her clearly autobiographical musical works are attempts to redefine the body through abstraction, as can be heard on her first album entitled ›Matrafona‹. Having learned from these sound collages that music can serve as a political tool, she went on to publish ›Amarração‹. In her performances, Odete creates sound carpets consisting, for example, of background noise from a funeral recorded with a smartphone mixed with samples of things being destroyed – beats that traverse the history of queer music – vogue claps, sapphic fragments, industrial beats, punk screams.
Gabriel Ferrandini
The Portuguese (but born in California 1986, from a Mozambican natural and a Brazilian of Italian heritage) drummer Gabriel Ferrandini is usually found in freely improvised music contexts. Three years ago he decided to turn himself to composition and started a new approach with an artistic residency in one of the most prestigious Portuguese spaces: ZDB. After this period Gabriel decided to retreat himself, questioning and calibrating his connections to music. He developed a solo project, one mainly interested in exploring the contrasts between the acoustic and the amplified sounds, by combining his usual drum kit with volume pedals, heavy subs, low frequencies and feedbacks. It is an intense performance, both physically and sonically, that will make you question music's boundaries.
DJ Khabal
is the co-owner of Golden Mist Records and was in charge of Reitoria’s musical curatorship, along with fierce and bold designs that were always present in its posters. His dj sets are deeply influenced by a street smart lifestyle present in rap music, that gravitates subliminally alongside disco’s cosmic romance, jackin’s rawness and the rhythmic and harmonic sense of exploration only present in the most visionary minds. His presence has escalated in the past years, which led him to be a consistent figure in the most relevant dj booths in Portugal. Khabal represents the inhospitable, the familiar, the determination and, most importantly, the party.
