Amplify Berlin 3: Albertine Sarges, Baby Vulture, Lucrecia Dalt (DJ)

ACUD CLUB 21h → Concert

Acud Macht Neu presents: The third edition of the creative development program Amplify Berlin features live sets of mentees Albertine Sarges and Baby Vulture. And a DJ-Set by their mentor Lucrecia Dalt.

Line-up

Albertine Sarges
... is a songwriter and performer. In Berlin she is mostly known as Ossi Viola, the smiling Italian diva with shoulder pads in the synthpop group ITACA. She also plays keyboards for Kat Frankie. She recently gathered a campy girl band around her (called “the Sticky Fingers”), performing music and eating noodles in public.

Baby Vulture [aka Daniela Huerta]
... is a multimedia artist. Her interest in sound and music as an art form encouraged her to develop her own musical direction under the moniker Baby Vulture, applying her broad and eclectic taste in various art projects and sound productions. Her main interest concerns the human (female) voice and the body as a medium to create narratives which position one in an illusionary or defined time and space. She seeks to find variables and errors which allow her to explore distinct territories that she later breaks apart, combines and assembles together, creating her own fragmented language.

Lucrecia Dalt [RVNG Intl]
... dove into music full–time after working as a civil engineer in Colombia. Her pursuit of avant–garde sound brought her to Spain and then to Germany, where she currently resides. While highly technical, Dalt has always balanced the sharp mind of a methodical thinker with the restless heart of a passionate artist, gradually seeking a way to create hand-crafted mental states through sound, maintaining a quantity of emotionality, merging accessible, melody with abstract structures, handcrafted effects and sampling. Her recent work develops around the ideas of repositioning fiction, time perception, scale, telluric affect, repetition, vocoding and sound dynamics.

About Amplify Berlin

Amplify Berlin is a creative development program at ACUD Kunsthaus. Each month, Berlin-based emerging musicians have the chance to be mentored in composition, production and live performance by established musicians.

During each one-month residency, two emerging artists receive feedback and advice from their mentor, work in a private music studio, develop their live set in the ACUD Clubs concert space, as well as present an online radio show. Each residency will culminate in a live set performed by the mentees at a showcase event, on a lineup alongside their mentor.

Amplify Berlin is co-financed by the Europäischer Fonds für regionale Entwicklung (EFRE) and Musicboard Berlin.
