The title of GODMOTHER's new EP comes from the French word for “transgender” but also hints at the band’s polymorphous musical behavior, time-stretching pop music history to create “oldies but newbies”. Following their 7″ single “These Things Take Time” (which, according to no fear of pop. “effectively smashed the competition for 2013's greatest lyric”), Godmother are releasing four new tunes on cassette tape and download, out via New Pangea. Tonight, they will celebrate with a concert at Acud, combining electric cello, electronic drums, keyboard and sax, plus lyrical finesse laced with dark humor. Support comes from solo act Andrak, taking his dramatic pop to the stage, plus DJs Mika Risiko and Yohuna.
