Known primarily as a Long time Jahtari affiliate producer, Sex tags corroborator and Selah Wadada front man: Tapes has also been thrashing European dance floors with a hefty mix of Dancehall, Bashment and Dub for almost 10 years. Whilst still performing his music live almost exclusively off cassettes, analog hardware and synthesizers, 2016 sore a side step in direction when the ferric fanatic showcased his new approach to the live setting. Now incorporating an eastern sound set from an array of indian electronic rhythm and drone machines ( along side a wealth of other shy electronics ) 'Tapes live' softly explores a dichotomy between harmony and poly rhythms whilst showcasing his interests in world, industrial and vintage studio practices.
