ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Montréal-based musician and composer KARA-LIS COVERDALE gives concerts made for full body immersion, multi-layered through multi timbral synths, her computer a virtual organ engine. Couched in symphonic, post sacred tonalities and harmonies, the music on Coverdale’s releases Aftertouches (on Sacred Phrases) and A 480 (on Constellation Tatsu) uses virtual sounds from vocal and instrumental sources to confront traditional genres and consolidate them in the artist’s own precise ways. Currently an organist and music director at St. John’s church in Montréal, Coverdale contributed piano and keyboards on friend and mentor Tim Hecker’s Virgins album in 2013 and most recently has collaborated with LXV (musician David Sutton) on their 2015 album, released by Umor Rex. // Soundcloud

Oliver Peryman a.k.a. FIS, was ushered on to the global stage by Tri Angle Records in 2013 with two outstanding EPs. Peryman commanded the main stage at Berlin Atonal in both 2014 and 2015 with masterful A/V shows, and he was most recently a stand out surprise guest at Unsound and his shows have received rave reviews from The Guardian, The Quietus and Electronic Beats. // Soundcloud

The hallucinatory, life-affirming, retro-futuristic soundscapes of BATAILLE SOLAIRE provide a sensory trip and cosmological glimpse into an elusive fourth dimension. The experimental solo project of Montréal-based multi-instrumentalist and composer Asaël Robitaille, Bataille Solaire’s throwback meditations on obsolete technology and synth science combines Asaël’s rigorous academic training with snippets of looser genres (prog rock, New Age, tropical electronic samples). // Soundcloud

LUCRECIA DALT dove into music full-time after working as a civil engineer in Colombia – her pursuit of avant-garde sound brought her to Spain and then to Germany, where she currently resides. While highly technical, Dalt's music still maintains a quantity of emotionality, merging accessible, melody with abstract structures, handcrafted effects and sampling. // Soundcloud

PASCALE PROJECT Pascale Project is the very recent reincarnation of Pascale Mercier’s solo-project formerly called Mathematique. Mercier is based in Montréal and what suddenly made her a project we cannot explain. Neither can the artist, who is instead revelling in uncertainty: “Who knows what is going to happen? Who cares?,” she asks the internet and answers: “Don’t worry, everything is going to be fine, everyone is going to have fun.” // Soundcloud
