2017 has been an amazingly successful year for us. 219 events took place, mirroring what is happening in the underground of this world. Here's a team selection of our most fav moments.
The List
<< ACUD MACHT NEU PRESENTS
The year started with residencies by Cairo producer Zuli and the soundystem System Out Sound. But there was more: Virtuelles Theater took over the Gallery and during Fracto some truly great experimental movies were shown. We also presented DJ-legend Katapila from Ghana who played his first gig in Europe ever and Inga Copeland's solo-project Lolina. Drone artist Sarah Davachi did a special performance during our summer program, NHK Koyxen came to celebrate the Monat of Zeitgenössische Musik and Posh Isolation's Croation Amor played a set we'll never forget. Last but not least: Our summer program was hot!

Performances, Screenings, Lectures, Workshops, Launches, Discussions and Concerts – the Studio is the space at ACUD where you can test out new things, meet exciting people and get educated. This year it hosted some truly great projects, series and artists.

<< ACUD EXHIBITIONS
In September the last exhibition curated by Elodie Evers took place in the Gallery featuring Naama Arad. The Tel-Aviv based artist is amongst other great artists who showed their work this year: Monira Al Qadiri, Feminist Land Art Retreat and Jakob Kolding. Also artist duo EMDAL/RAHBEK (aka Olymphia) showed their works.

<< NO SHADE
This year saw the launch of No Shade, a training initiative for female/female-identifying/non-binary DJ's supported generously by Music Board Berlin. An open call was made inviting local talent to apply for the program, followed by a month-long training schedule and a party at the end of the cycle featuring two new freshly trained DJ's with international headliners.

CTM Vorspiel, Torstraßen Festival, We Make Waves, Pictoplasma, A Happening – we hosted some of the greatest Festivals in town this year, making ACUD a hub for contemporary art, music and discourse.
